Hi. I recently installed Jollyness for WordPress and the demo data. When I try to Visit Site from the WordPress dashboard, or Appearance > Customize, I only get the animated blue circle (Jollyness blue with a smaller white circle inside) that indicates it’s loading. It never finishes loading, even many minutes later.
If I temporarily switch to the Twenty Seventeen theme, the site loads and displays instantly.
If I deactivate all plug-ins, Visit Site and Appearance – Customers do load but much of the page is shown as code.
I tried many combinations of my installed plugins and determined that the site will Preview or Appearance – Customize as long as the Crumina Jollyness Theme Extension plugin is deactivated – but it doesn’t preview properly, i.e. there’s a bunch of code, the margins are incorrect, and other layout problems.
If the Crumina Jollyness Theme Extension plugin is activated, then I only get the animated blue circle and nothing ever loads.
(However, if Crumina Jollyness Theme Extension plugin is activated, and I am editing a page, I can Preview the page properly from there. If I then deactivate that plugin and go back into that page, the page Previews incorrectly with code on the page, incorrect margins, etc., as described above.)
How can I get my site to display properly with Customize and Visit Site? Thanks.
Appearance>Customize section is disabled for Jollyness theme. Even if it load for you, the options don’t work from there. All customization options are located in Appearance>Theme options section instead.
Hi. That’s also something I needed to better understand, thanks.
But my main question is how do I preview the site as I work on it?
If I make some changes and then I want my client to visit the site to review and comment on the changes, normally I would give my client a link to the staging site URL. Or if they’re a WordPress user they can click the small house icon in the upper left corner of the WordPress dashboard (immediately to the right of the W circle logo), and under that click Visit Site. However with Jollyness, these only display a white screen with the blue animated Jollyness loading circle that never finishes loading. -Ann
Could someone answer my open question above about how do I preview the site?
